My pokémon and I had a lot of fun navigating through Bugsy's gym. One by one, I took on all the caterpies, weedles, paras, and other bug types. My pidgey, Jak, was able to take them all down with mighty gust of winds. Most of her attacks knocked them out with a single blow, they were all fairly weak. In the final battle before the leader, I took on twin sisters. They fought well for just being a couple of little girls. Jak, backed up by Hatori (my totodile), easily blew their ledyba and spinerack away.

Finally it was time to face Bugsy. My boyfriend, Otrick, had warned me of Bugsy's fierce Scyther ahead of time. Originally, I planned on using my mareep, Ryomah to paralyze the dangerous foe, but the foe persevered and KO'd Ryo with one hit, using a move I had never seen before, called U-turn. Fortune smiled upon me when Ryomah's special skill, static, managed to paralyze the Scyther, before Bugsy returned it to its pokeball.

Next Bugsy sent out a metapod. Though its defenses were impeccable, I sent out my Nidoran male, which was able to defeat it with after many pecks. Metapod's attacks were fairly weak, but it took Nidoran so long to get through its tough shell, that left Nidoran useless for the rest of the match. Though the victory was mine, we both ended up calling back our pokémon.

Scyther returned to the battlefield. Remembering the nasty situation with my poor Ryo, I knew the time was to call out the strongest pokémon was at hand. Whispering a prayer, I sent out Merith, my beloved cyndaquil. The pokémon seemed evenly matched. Scyther's quick attack took away nearly half of Merith's health, but Merith's blazing ember did the same. When the final turn came down, our foe was standing on it's last legs, but so was Merith. So far, the Scyther had always had the first attack, but that was only because it had been using quick attack. Knowing my cyndaquil had quite impressive speed, I decided to have it use quick attack, hoping his attack would strike before Scyther could. After both our attacks were chosen, Merith proved the fastest. Victory was mine once again.

The fight was drawing to a end. Only one more foe to vanquish. Bugsy sent out his final pokémon, a kakuna. "Even though it's my last pokémon, bug pokémon are tough!!" He exclaimed. I would strongly disagree. My cyndaquil hadn't failed me, but he only had a slither of health left, so I called him back. I decided to send out Jak. She had taken care of most of the bug cronies before this match, so I had been saving her for last. Now was time for her to shine. Like metapod, I knew kakuna had superior defences, but it proved no match for Jak's gust attack. Even though it managed to unleash a poison sting attack, which poisoned my beloved pidgey, Jak took the pathetic pokémon down in two mighty gusts of wind. I had defeated Bugsy!!

After the battle was over, Merith evolved into a quilava!! I am so proud of both him and Jak!! <3

Jak is a female Pidgey (normal/flying type) with a quirky nature.
She is proud of her power.
I met her on route 29 at Lv3.
Her attacks are Tackle, Sand-Attack, Gust, and Roost.
Her ability is Tangled Feet, which boosts her evasion when she is confused.

I will rename him when I get to goldenrod, but I haven't decided what yet.
Nidoran♂ (poison type) is a boy with a lonely nature.
He is somewhat stubborn.
I met him using the pokéwalker at Lv5.
His attacks are peck, double kick, poison sting, and focus energy.
His ability is Rivalry, which boosts his attack when he's fighting a pokémon that's male.

Atreyu - Lv14
Atreyu is male riolu (fighting type) with a Adamant nature.
He is strong willed.
I recieved him as an egg through a trade.
His attacks are quick attack, foresight, force palm, and return.
His ability is Steadfast, which riases his speed each time he flinches in battle.

Merith - Lv18
Merith is a male quilava (fire type) with a bashful nature.
He is often lost in thought.
I met him in New Bark Town at Lv5 (he was my first pokémon).
His attacks are ember, quick attack, smokescreen, and tackle.
His ability is Blaze, which powers up his fire-type moves in a pinch.

Ryomah - Lv14
Ryomah is a male mareep (electric type) with a careful nature.
He is alert to sounds.
I met him on Route 32 at Lv6.
His attacks are thundershock, tackle, growl, and thunder wave.
His ability is Static, which is triggered whenever a foe comes into contact with his body, this trigger causes paralysis.

Hatori - Lv14
Hatori is a male totodile (water type) with a hardy nature.
He has a sturdy body.
I recieved him as an egg through a trade.
His attacks are water gun, rage, scratch, and bite.
His ability is Torrent, which powers up his water-type moves in a pinch.

**NOTE - I also have a "seventh pokémon". I switch out pokémon every once in a while, depending on the situation. Which ever pokémon that's not one of six on my team, is usually going for a stroll on my pokéwalker.

Aden - Lv13
Aden is a male chikorita (grass type) with a quiet nature.
He likes to fight.
I recieved him as an egg through a trade.
His attacks are razor leaf, poisonpowder, tackle, and synthesis.
His ability is Overgrow which powers up his grass-moves in a pinch.
