So continuing practicing a more cartoon-based style... this is my typical anime-styled coloring. Obviously much more simplistic and less detailed than my normal style of coloring.
I'm a bit undecided as to whether or not I like it. But it is what I was aiming for: A more simplistic style that would be easier to animate with. I think the hair and eyes turned out okay-ish, but the skin and shirt bother me.
Anyway his name's Aden.
And if he/this style looks vaguely familiar to you, it's probably because I used a screen shot from the anime Ultra Maniac as a ref (Heck it almost looks as though I practically copied it line from line in some areas. Lol.) in order to help me develop a more anime/cartoon-influenced style.
Let me know what you think. Criticism is always happily accepted as long as it's constructive. ; )
Not sure if its for the best.
I mean yea, it is more anime like. But now it looks a bit too flat.
For instance, the shading of the head almost doesnt add any depth to it.
Also, it looks very vectory.
ITs ok, but I think it would be better if you added more details.
Did you have a specific anime style in mind? (Or something close?)
It seems like it would stay pretty consistent most of the time and its pretty simple ^^
And, theoretically, the more I practice using this style, the better at it I'll become
Thank you!! <3
and theoretically of course
You're very welcome ^^
